CSO BRIDGE PROJECT
The project was implemented by TRDP and WHH and funded by European Unions

CSO-BRIDGE (Building Resilience through Improved Delivery, Governance, and Empowerment Programme) focuses on enhancing civil society organizations' capacity and resilience (CSOs) in a Hyderabad. The project aims to strengthen CSOs' ability to deliver effective services, improve governance practices, and empower communities.

 

Under the CSO-BRIDGE project, various activities and interventions are implemented to achieve these objectives. This include capacity building workshops and training sessions for CSO staff and volunteers, technical assistance in areas such as project management and financial sustainability, and support for CSOs to engage in advocacy and policy dialogue.

The project also emphasizes promoting good governance within CSOs, encouraging transparency, accountability, and participatory decision-making processes. Additionally, it seeks to foster partnerships and collaborations among CSOs, enabling them to work collectively towards common goals and address shared challenges.

Implementing the CSO-BRIDGE project aims to strengthen CSOs' roles in promoting sustainable development, fostering social inclusion, and empowering marginalized communities. The project often relies on partnerships with international organizations, such as iNGOs like Welt Hunger Hilfe (WHH), and funding support from entities like the European Union to ensure its successful implementation and impact.

Indus Youth Welfare Organization (IYWO) successfully enrolled numerous youth in a 6-month and 3 months skill development course in Zebtech, Hyderabad and Honar Foundation, Rashidabad. The objective of this initiative was to equip young with valuable skills that would enhance their employability and empower them for a better future. Throughout the duration of the course, the enrolled youth received a monthly allowance to support their financial needs. Upon completion of the training course, the organization provided the trainers with essential toolkits.

The CSO-BRIDGE Project implemented by Thardeep Rural Development Programme, supported by Welt Hunger Hilfe (WHH) and funded by the European Union. The training aimed to enhance capacity building and empower community organizations through various initiatives and interventions.

Capacity Building Trainings:

IYWO team participated in over 20 capacity-building training sessions, which included topics as Project Cycle Management and relevant government laws.

Liaisoning Meeting:

​​As part of the project IYWO has engaged with 20 line departments, including the Education Department, Health Department, and Social Welfare Department, to facilitate effective communication and address community issues.

EXPOSURE VISIT:

As part of the project, IYWO team participated in three exposure visits to Multan, South Punjab, and Sehwan. During these visits, met with various civil society organizations, gaining insights into their working patterns and valuable lessons from their experiences.

TAG & DCSN:

Under the CSO Bridge project, two networks were established: the District Civil Society Network (DCSN) and the Tal Action Group (TAG). IYWO was involved in networks, and following the elections, IYWO was elected as the General Secretary of the DCSN. The purpose of the DCSN is to enhance coordination between district and taluka administrations and civil society organizations (CSOs) for more effective communication.

Skill Development Course:

We nominated 56 young individuals, consisting of 35 males and 21 females, for various development courses such as electrician training, plumbing, design, e-commerce, beautician services, and. Throughout the course, participants received monthly travel and daily allowance (TADA), and upon completion, each of them received toolkit. Now, they are earning significantly and are able to support families.
