Public Library Tandojam
Self Sustain Library by IYWO
Indus Youth Welfare Organization had established the first-ever library in Tandojam, named Public Library and Display Center Tandojam with the support of Assistant Commissioner Taluka Hyderabad Madam Qadeel Fatima Memon. The library was inaugurated by Madam Qadeel Fatima Memon and ASP Madam Aleena Rajpar on 2nd June 2021. Since, taking over the library on 6th June 2021, IYWO has voulantarily expanded the library's structure and book collection to over 1500+ books, with daily newspapers, cold water, free internet access, UPS system, air conditioning, and 2 dedicated librarians. The library has become a hub of learning and academic support for the community, with 25-30 students visiting every day to study and improve their knowledge. In addition, IYWO provides assistance to orphans and underprivileged students in pursuing their education and conducts educational sessions to guide them on scholarships and financial aid. The library is a testament to IYWO's commitment to education and providing equal opportunities for all.

SHE SPEAKS
WOMEN EMPOWERMENT
"SHE SPEAKS" event was organized 11 November, 2023 at M Sheikh Hall, Sindh Agriculture University, Tando Jam. to empower women across various sectors, including politics, leadership, education, and business. The event brought together notable guests and around 300 girls from colleges and universities, creating a platform for inspiration, learning, and networking.​
Guests and Speakers
The event featured a distinguished lineup of guests and speakers:
MPA Tanzeela Qambrani: A prominent figure in politics who shared insights on women’s roles in governance and policy-making.
Assistant Commissioner Dadu Ma'am Fatima Ghalo: Provided a perspective on women in leadership and administrative roles.
Prof. Ismail Kumbhar: Director of Advanced Studies, who spoke on the importance of women's education.
Social Activist Asna Zuberi: Highlighted the significance of social activism and community involvement.
Trans Activist Aradhya Khan: Addressed the challenges and successes of transgender women in various fields.
Madam Khadeeja: Discussed women’s entrepreneurship and the importance of economic independence.
Participation
Approximately 300 girls from various colleges and universities participated in the event. This large turnout demonstrated the keen interest and enthusiasm among young women to learn from the experiences of successful leaders and to explore opportunities for their own growth.

BEYOND WORDS
ART Festival for listening-imparied childrens
The event was graced by the presence of Regional Director Dept Amin Memon and Deputy Director Social Welfare Shafqat Solangi. The festival included various art and recreational activities, allowing children to express their creativity and enjoy themselves. The event concluded with an awards ceremony where children received medals for their participation and efforts.
Project Beyond Words successfully achieved its goals of enhancing communication, raising awareness, and fostering creativity among hearing-impaired children. The positive feedback and enthusiastic participation from the children, parents, and partners highlighted the project's success and the importance of such initiatives. We look forward to continuing our efforts to support and empower hearing-impaired children in the future.

FLY High event was organized on 11 November 202 at M Sheikh Hall, Sindh Agriculture University Tandojam. The worthy vice chancellor of SAU Tandojam Prof; Dr. Fateh Muhammad Mari was Chief Guest of event.

STEM CONTEST

STEM Contest 2023 was a highly anticipated event, aimed at addressing the pressing need for modern education in our region. While the world embraces STEM education, countries like Pakistan continue to teach outdated syllabus compiled many years ago. Our initiative aimed to bridge this gap by introducing STEM education to our community.
Objectives:
1. Raise awareness about the importance of STEM education.
2. Introduce a modern syllabus incorporating contemporary topics.
3. Encourage students to engage with and understand STEM subjects.
4. Assess student interest and knowledge in STEM through a grand test.
5. Support successful students in pursuing further education and scholarships in STEM fields.

On May 11th, 2023, the Indus Youth Welfare Organization (IYWO) hosted an event at Government Girls High School, Farm Colony, Tando Jam, with Miss Naheed Korejo, the Headmistress, as the chief guest. The session focused on two key objectives:

Promoting Gender Equality: Emphasizing the importance of equal opportunities for girls, encouraging them to pursue their goals without societal limitations.

Encouraging Solidarity and Collaboration: Fostering unity and support among students, educators, and the community to create a more inclusive environment.
The event concluded with the launch of IYWO’s initiative, "She Speaks," aimed at empowering girls by providing a platform to express themselves and access opportunities for growth and development.
